That’s why we include Samsung appliances in all of our Florida new construction homes — We want you to enjoy the benefits of Samsung’s innovative technology in your new home!

From included stainless steel kitchen appliances, to customizable Bespoke options, to energy-efficient laundry machines, here is a breakdown of the appliance options available to choose from when you build with Highland Homes.

Included Appliances

Stainless steel has been the top-selling kitchen appliance color for many years and will continue to be thanks to its versatility, longevity, and sleek aesthetic, enhancing the look of any kitchen. We include stainless steel appliances in every Florida new home we build so you can enjoy the benefits of this popular appliance finish without having to spend extra money.

When you build your new home in any of our single-family home communities, your home includes a Samsung stainless steel:

• Fingerprint-resistant, quiet-operation ENERGY STAR® dishwasher with 3 spray arms and an adjustable rack, hidden controls on the top of the door, and a leak sensor to protect your home.
• Smart smooth-top electric range with:
  • A flexible five-burner cooktop including two dual-element burners, a warming center, and a Rapid Boil™ burner;
  • A large capacity 6.3 cu. ft. oven including settings such as bread proof and keep warm, a hidden bottom bake element for easy cleaning, and self and steam cleaning;
  • Smart features such as Wi-Fi connectivity, voice-enabled tech, and SmartThings Cooking which let you preheat, monitor, and control your range, to make life easier, safer, and more efficient.
• Over-the-range microwave providing 1.6 cubic feet of cooking space to fit large dishes, 1000 watts of cooking power, auto-cook settings, and a powerful 2-speed, 300 CFM ventilation system.

Quick move-in homes (both single-family homes and townhomes) also include an ENERGY STAR® refrigerator for your move-in convenience, with either a full-depth/large-capacity or counter-depth model selected by our professional designers to compliment your kitchen layout.

And, if you are building at The Lakes, our luxury new home community in Lake Alfred, your home includes a 22 cu. ft. counter-depth side-by-side ENERGY STAR® refrigerator, or you can choose to upgrade to a fridge of your choice (more on that below!).

Upgrade Options

Are you looking for even more innovative features? Read on, my friends – When you build from the ground up and personalize your dream home at the Highland Homes design studio, multiple appliance upgrade options are available to choose from.

Dishwasher Upgrade Options

Choose from dishwashers offering options such as:

• Whisper quiet operation as low as 42-46 dBA – or about the sound level in a quiet library
• StormWash+™ high-pressure wash system, using a rotating spray jet that delivers cleaning performance for the dirtiest dishes without pre-rinsing
• A convenient 3rd rack and adjustable rack system
• Smart Dry intelligent drying with AutoRelease™ door, improving drying performance and avoiding wasted energy
• Wi-Fi and SmartThings app connectivity, letting you remotely operate the appliance and monitor and manage energy usage

Range Upgrade Options

For all the cooks out there, there is one appliance that’s probably at the top of your list – the range! All our ranges include the convenience of a flexible five-burner cooktop, a hidden bottom bake element for easy cleaning, and Smart features including Wi-Fi connectivity, voice-enabled controls, and SmartThings Cooking which let you preheat, monitor, and control your range, to make life easier, safer, and more efficient.

Additional features found in our upgraded ranges include:

• Air fry, a healthier way to prepare your favorite fried foods without the need of an additional appliance, and no preheating required!
• Convection cooking, saving you time by cooking foods more quickly and evenly.
• Flex Duo™ double oven, which allows you cook in two individual smaller ovens using different temperatures, or use the full oven at one temp.

Microwave Upgrade Options

Whether you’re looking for a microwave that fits larger dishes or has features such as air fryer cooking (in a microwave!), we have options to suit your needs with features such as:

• Elevated exterior design with fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, seamless glass-touch controls, and handle-free doors
• 1.7 to 2.1 cu. ft. capacity
• Convection cooking, providing the flexibility to bake, broil, and roast
• Slim Fry™ technology, circulating hot air to fry your favorite foods
• Wi-Fi, voice controls, and SmartThings Cooking and app connectivity

Refrigerator Options

As we mentioned, refrigerators are included in quick move-in homes. For those of you building with us from the ground up, you get to choose the fridge that’s the right fit for your needs!

Eight of Samsung’s most popular ENERGY STAR® refrigerators are available to select, with features such as:

• Side-by-side, 3-door French door, and 4-door French door styles with a modern, flat-front design and a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish
• Counter-depth and full-depth models – your personal designer at the Selection Studio will help you choose a fridge that a perfect fit in your kitchen
• Wi-Fi and SmartThings technology
• Family Hub™ exterior screen, letting you see inside your refrigerator, manage calendars, stream music, see who’s at the front door, and more.

Laundry Options

Samsung is known to offer the best smart, high-efficiency laundry appliances, with Smart Care app connectivity to troubleshoot issues. With top-load, front-load, designer colors, and Bespoke designs, if you’ve had your eye on brand-new, technologically-advanced laundry pair to make life easier, we have the best laundry machines to fit your style, space, and needs!

Top-Load Machines

Top-load washing machines are generally cheaper to purchase and maintain or repair. On the con side, they typically use more water and energy than front-load models. With that said, if you are very budget sensitive or looking for a basic unit perhaps to match an existing machine, options are available for:

• A large 4.5 cu. ft. white washer with Vibration Reduction Technology+ reducing noise and self clean to eliminate bacteria from the drum;
• Its perfect pair match, a 7.2 cu. ft. electric dryer with sensor dry and 8 preset cycles;
• A top-load laundry pair including a large 5.0 cu. ft. capacity ENERGY STAR® washer with an EZ access tub and Active WaterJet built in faucet for pre-treating, and matching 7.4 cu. ft. electric dryer with sensor dry and 10 preset cycles.

Front-Load Machines

Our Samsung front-load washing machines are, in one word, efficient – They are ENERGY STAR® rated, use less water than top-loads, and offer higher spin speeds resulting in shorter drying times. Cons of front-load machines are the purchase price is generally more expensive and it’s harder to add clothes mid-cycle. Historically, they also had the potential to develop mildew issues, but Samsung has solved that with self-cleaning technology built-in to their front load washers.

With more than a dozen front load washers and dryers to select from at the Highland Homes Personal Selection Studio, you’re certain to find what you are looking for with features including:

• Standard, closet-depth, and Bespoke designs in white, champagne, platinum, silver steel, and brushed black finishes
• Smart features including an AI Smart Dial that learns and recommends your favorite cycles, Wi-Fi, and Smart Care app connectivity to troubleshoot issues
• Washers with up to 24 washing cycles, along with additional options such as pre-soak and steam clean
• Dryers offering up to 21 drying cycles, along with features including eco-dry, wrinkle prevent, and Steam Sanitize+

Matching pedestals are also available, raising your machines to a more comfortable height and adding storage beneath your washer and dryer.

Benefits of Adding Appliances During Construction

If you’re considering whether it’s best to decide on appliances now or wait until after you move in, selecting appliances as part of your new home purchase offers several benefits:

• We’ll help you select appliances to properly fit the space – for example, refrigerators come in multiple dimensions and depths.
• Your appliances are installed and ready to use when you move in! You don’t have to worry about coordinating delivery and installation, or unfortunate occurrences such as damage to flooring, door trim, or cabinets during installation.
• You don’t need to find the money out of pocket – in most cases, appliances can be financed into your mortgage.
• Your Samsung appliances are covered by a warranty:
  • If opting for included appliances, they’re covered by a 1-year warranty. This is the same warranty offered for Samsung retail purchases.
  •  If you buy a full appliance package (dishwasher, range, microwave, refrigerator, washer, and dryer) through us, you will receive an upgraded 3-year warranty, exclusively available to you as part of our partnership with Samsung
