Highland Homes Ranks on Two of Nation’s Top Homebuilder Lists

Highland Homes is thrilled to announce our recent recognitions in Professional Builder’s “Housing Giants" and BUILDER Magazine’s “Builder 100/Next 100," two of the most prestigious lists for U.S. homebuilders. Our rank on the Housing Giants list jumped to 154 (from 187 last year), while our place on the Builder Magazine Next 100 list jumped to 102 (up from 113). As a local, family-owned home-building company that builds in eight Florida counties, we are proud to be recognized and ranked against large corporations that build throughout the country.

The two lists are based on different criteria, which accounts for the difference in rankings. BUILDER Magazine’s Builder 100/Next 100 list ranks the top 200 home-building companies in the nation based on their number of new home closings. We’ve made enormous strides in the past year; in fact, 2014 was the best year for Highland Homes since 2007. We helped a total of 378 new homeowners close on their new homes to be recognized as the 102^nd largest home builder in the nation.

Professional Builder’s annual Housing Giants list ranks the country’s builders by their revenue. Coming in at #154, we are pleased to report a 30.6-percent increase in total housing revenue over 2013. As an additional reflection of Highland Homes’ continued growth and success, earlier this year we were recognized in the Gator 100 List, which honors the 100 fastest-growing companies owned or operated by University of Florida alumni, based on revenues over the past five years.
